About Us
Kwazulu Natal Baseball Association (KZNBA) is the official governing body for Kwazulu Natal.
Baseball was brought to South Africa in 1931 and is still very active today. As a region, we have had a number of our teams and individual players represent SA internationally. We also have players who now play professional ball in the USA.
The aim of the association is to increase levels of participation, skill and achievement at both junior and senior levels.
KZNBA is governed and affiliated to the South African Baseball Union (SABU).
KZN Seals
The Seals logo was originally introduced a number of years ago as part of the Sands of Time tournament and a means of having an identity for the junior KZN players of this tournament.
It has however evolved since then and the actual logo has been refined slightly and now is part of the official KZN logo for both junior and senior teams. The idea behind the logo was for KZN to have some form of identity which is related to the sea, as is the Sharks for rugby and the Dolphins for cricket.
The association will continually look at ways to brand this further and embed it into the way forward with baseball.
